I already knew Shotcut for some time now, but I didn't know all the useful tips & tricks that this course includes (BTW I have also contributed to the italian translation). Shotcut is "almost" perfect as a free video editing tool, but of course there is always some possible improvements in my opinion. For instance: 1) possibility to organize video and audio tracks (maybe with a grouping functionality) 2) possibility to separate the audio track from a video 3) possibility to apply keyframing to the audio and video effects.
if you are not familiar with ideo editing you must check it out!

So many times I had some ideas for short films as a hobby but a quick look at a video editor software was enough to hold me back. Randomly walk trough video editing tips on the web and lucky me found out this piece of art ... Perhaps the best $30 I spent so far. I'm working on my first project ever and pretty exited about all the possibilities shortcut ,for instance, have to offer. this course will show you that editing videos is not as complicated as you think ans will give you all you need to get started. *however have fun and let your imagination set the boundaries. **In a few days I intend to send to James Woo my first attempt. Thos training helped me totally

I was sceptical after a bad experience with paying for E-learning. But as I was really frustrated about my results in learning shotcut, I took the risk and paid the price for this training. What should I say: I am totally convinced by this training! After one day of concentrated learning with James Woo I solved all the problems I had with my film project, now I love shotcut, it makes so much better results than Movie Maker, if you just know how to use it. The training is organized in short chapters that teach you everything you must know, the videos show all single steps and Mister Woo explains. And whenever I am not sure about something, I can rewatch the relevant clip again. It comes even better: There was one problem I couldn't solve, so I wrote to James, sceptical if I will ever get an anwer at all (like I said, experiences in E-learning ...). After 2 hours I had my answer. Mr Woo explained me, detailed but easy to understand and very friendly, how to solve the problem with my film. Sorry for overwhelming enthusiasm - I guess its because I was really pi**ed off after trying to learn shotcut for 3 days on my own with no good results. Big thank you to Mr Woo. Worth the cost

The tutorial videos were extremely helpful. It saved searching the internet for explanations as to how to do a variety of video editing on Shotcut. Many of the tutorial subjects particularly for the beginner video editor can't even be found on a google search other than from Woo's site! His instruction is very methodical and clear. For the cost, it's worth it in frustration avoided! With the help of his tutorials, I was able to produce a very professional appearing video with many sophisticated effects.

I discovered Shotcut and this course when I struggled with similar software that just did not have the capabilities I needed. I did not believe that James could demonstrate PIP in less than 3 minutes, but he does that and a lot more in this course. If you want top quality video editing software and the clearest possible guidance, I suggest you do this course. It is brilliant.
